LOOP LINE TASTING NOTES | One of the most special wines you can get your hands on, this Vin  Santo Riserva is a labour of love and the result of persistent dedication to the ethereal magic of crafting sweet wine. After harvest the grapes rest in whole bunches on drying racks in a cool, thick stoned building atop the hills of Carmignano. As you overlook the groves of ancient olive and cypress trees, Benedetta checks the grapes daily (sometimes multiple times per day) and manages the breezes coming through with the labyrinth of shutters and windows. And this is just the first step of winemaking: each step is deeply intentional, coming from generations of knowledge and decades of experience.

Opulent and transcendent, this wine is as deeply golden as the setting sun over the Cypress trees when you finally put up your feet at the end of a long day harvesting olives. Complex, nuanced and layered like a late night conversation with old friends. Notes of candied fruits, dried orange peel, yellow flowers and toasted nuts: it is as if a Panettone was baked by a forest nymph and transformed into this seductive elixir. It consistently sweeps for wine awards and each release is critically acclaimed. It is, quite simply, divine.
